Static Guided Surgery has been a part of full arch implant placement and restorations for the last fifteen years. It was originally developed to incorporate the principles of cross-arch stabilization and parallel implant placement to achieve the desired restoration. With the addition of the All-On-4 (x) technique, static guided surgery is being used to position the implants, abutments and immediate restoration in a more predictable manner. By combining DICOMM and STL files, digital treatment planning can help to design the restoration as well as place the implants at the optimal angulation to achieve the greatest A-P spread.
